2 Pianos | 8 Hands

concert for two pianos and four pianists

‘Be embraced, all ye millions!’

L. V. Beethoven

Four international pianists, graduated from the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory and winners of the main international piano competitions, come together on stage in a concert for two pianos and eight hands. Lukas Geniušas (Russia-Lithuania), Alexei Kurbatov (Russia-Montenegro), Pedro Emanuel Pereira (Portugal) and Rem Urasin (Russia-Portugal) are the protagonists of a concert that includes music by various composers, with arrangements for this formation realised by the artists themselves. The concert ends with the final chorus of Beethoven's Symphony No. 9, arranged by the pianist and composer Alexey Kurbatov.
